Elisabeth Houston is a poet and playwright. She was born and raised in Brookline, Massachusetts, and she arrived in Los Angeles over four years ago. She uses text, video, and performance to explore questions of power, silence, and language. Her current manuscript is being written in parallel with a series of performances which have been staged throughout the country and internationally; recent venues have included the Hammer Museum, the Getty, and Human Resources Los Angeles. She teaches at CSU-LA in the English Department.
